recital night

Thought I would add these photos that Samara's teacher sent. Her teacher is amazing - you would have to be I guess to have energy and patience to teach so many little kids!

my baby is growing!

Thought you might like to see some recent (taken tonight) photos of our sweetheart! He is one well loved baby who has survived lots of smothering hugs and kisses and some awkward positions imposed on him by his siblings as they try to carry him when I'm not looking!

little mozart

Samara once said she wanted to be better than Beethoven and Mozart ... well she's not quite there but she is on her way! She's in Music for Young Children and her composition was a finalist in Western Canada. She was quite excited to get a special certificate! Her year end recital was Friday night - they did lots of group playing this time around ... and had to dress the part for "Puddles" and "Pirate Song". She also played a solo. While I was videoing it Rhett got off his chair and went right up to the piano but she didn't miss a beat! Probably felt like she was at home instead of playing for a room full of people! Next year Keithan is going to start lessons too. Should be interesting. He is musical but not so compliant!

toothless wonders

Samara lost her front tooth about two weeks ago. The new one is already starting to show! I do not do well with wiggly teeth so I was glad Avegail pulled it out! Now we have two toothless wonders in our house! Samara lost the two bottom ones when I was in the hospital so I missed out on those toothfairy visits!!! This is Dad's photography ... not too bad, but could use a little practice!!!

a lovely wedding

It was a lovely day for a lovely wedding. Congratulations Justine (Phil's cousin)and Bryce! I was glad we could all go as a family. As it was we were too played out to stay for the open house so I couldn't imagine what it would have been like on my own. I wish I had taken more photos - the table centerpieces were amazing - really tall vases of flowers. Martha Stewart would be proud!
