waiting for the train

We made it to grandpa and grandma's and back on the train ... with a few memories of our via rail experience!!! I never phoned prior to leaving for the train station ... only to find out it was supposed to be 3 hours later. It got worse ... it ended up being 5 1/2 hours late! Getting 4 sleeping kids onto the train was entertaining - Rhett fell off the bench, Keithan crumpled and hit the floor, Samara wandered to the van, and thank goodness Grady couldn't go too far strapped in his carseat!

more and more lake time!

Went to the cabin again at the beginning of the week. Had a little photo shoot before swimming! What a process! Good thing there are only 4 kids to try and organize ... and of course at least one uncooperative one!

Phil's cousin's wedding

Last weekend we attended part of a wedding. We weren't able to make it to the ceremony but we did get to the supper ... and a good supper it was! The bride is Phil's cousin on his mom's side. The group photo is all the cousins on that side of the family.

more time at the lake

I seem to be making good use of the cabin ... just wish Phil could join us. This time the kids and Avegail and I went with Janelle and her two girls. 3 adults to 6 kids 6 and under ... not a bad ratio especially when two of them can't move around yet! Next year will be a different story! As you can see, Keithan is not cooperative in getting in a group photo ... someday he'll regret that!

rubber boot rhett

This kid is crazy - all he likes to wear is his rubber boots or a pair of shoes that are at least one size too small for him! I'm seriously thinking of hiding them ... but then he might start wearing something worse ... like Samara's old strawberry shortcake slippers he dug out the other day.
