good morning

I haven't "blogged" for a long time it seems! But, we've done very little this month so I have nothing to show you! Some exciting news is that our nanny, Avegail, is coming to join our family on September 9th. Might have some pictures to share from this weekend coming up. Mom and dad are flying to the city to look after the kids while I attend a course on Friday and Saturday. Should be fun for all!

I forgot to include this photo from the reunion! Was very special to visit another old room-mate and now worker! We were marveling how we shared a room for quite a while ... and we're still good friends!

Leah

Last weeek I was able to see Leah, my old friend and ex-roomie for a few hours. We sat and talked while the kids played in the fountain. I didn't have getting wet in mind, so it was lucky I had went shopping before this! The kids had FUN but were SOAKED. I was almost able to provide a full change of clothes for all the kids!!!! On a sad note, I didn't get a picture of Leah.

We've been enjoying the heat ... still. Yesterday we decided to stay home and play in the pool. We enjoyed our visitors - Mackenzie and Davis. They moved in the spring and came back last week for a visit. I finally got my trees planted ... with Jodi's help to dig the holes. She brought her sharpened spade and edger which made it a little easier to cut through the sod. Now if only our contractors would come through with the fence and deck. Hope we're still here in 15 years to really enjoy our yard ... and shade!

Seems like this is all we've done this summer. Between the cabin and the local beach we've had lots of fun in the sun, and I'm not complaining!
