family photo

It has taken FOREVER to get our pictures back from the photographer, but the canvas is now on our bedroom wall. It's kind of a fun shot I thought. Keithan is acting a little crazy ... but that is his norm! We're still waiting on the big photo for our living room. Of course the frame I picked is a special order, so it takes even longer!

skateboard pros

The kids have fun posing on the skateboard. They like the way it looks on camera! They are too scared to actually try much ... and I'm not complaining! Keithan wanted to wear his new hockey helmet (a great garage sale purchase).

a sign of too much rain

We had a friendly visitor last week after our thunder shower. Up the back alley came a beaver. It found the storm drainage system behind our house and had fun swimming laps for a while. We thought it would be up all night blocking off the drain, but he must have went back home after his tour. I didn't want to get wet so the pictures are a bit far off! I just opened the patio door and shot a few photos.

the rootbear family

This seems to be our annual family photo - pretty sad outfits!

cruise'n the dub

On Sunday we had our annual show and shine car show at A&W. This wasn't the first year we had rain, but it was the first year it rained pretty much the whole time! Quite a few cars still came out though and it was still fun! I even had to help out a bit! Keithan wasn't too sure about the rootbear at first. Rhett didn't really care ... he just wanted to cruise himself!

new tree

I went to the tree farm and greenhouse yesterday ... added more "stuff" to my planting collection. Now I just need some help digging the holes! I wasn't planning on getting a lilac bushj (it's a dwarf one) but they look so pretty at this time of year! I'll find a spot I'm sure. The tree is a silver something maple tree - hope it grows fast so we can have nice shade in a couple years!!

muddles

Keithan calls puddles muddles ... and I think that makes a lot of sense! We had a small rainshower yesterday afternoon. I don't think many kids can resist playing in mud and water!
