happy belated mother's day to me

Keithan's kindergarten class hosted a Mother's Day tea on Monday. I was well entertained with songs and poems, shared in some activities and then was served lemonade and cupcakes and on the way out I received a lovely card and gift (which I forgot to take a picture of - homemade flower in a baby jar vase and a beaded bracelet). Prior to the event each student had to answer questions about mom - hilarious! Hope you can read it! I learned that I am 18 years old and love to watch Mom's Fight on TV. I take it from this that Keithan has a wilder imagination than I previously thought. Not even sure what "Mom's Fight" is, but I don't think I'd be interested! However, another mom was 92 years old, so I guess I'm not doing too badly!! And I also realized that I must hide my true self from my children ... since Keithan thinks my favorite thing to do is work!! Ha ... to be a kid again! Anyway, it was a nice mothers day, after mothers day!

six

We, or I should say I, survived Keithan's sixth birthday party! He had six friends over, plus 2 friends' siblings, plus his own 3 siblings ... which made for a WILD PARTY! The weather was not quite warm enough to for the kids to last outside for 2 hours so I thought it got a bit crazy at times! I think he invited all the class clowns, with one exception!! But, the kids had a great time and Keithan was sure it was his best party yet. We've been building Lego sets and looking for pieces ever since!

Samara's new look

Well, after almost 8 years it was time for a trim. Samara almost cried, but I'm looking forward to a few less inches of knots and tangles and less squawking ... every morning!

Grady's accident

Last Wednesday morning, at approximately 1:30am, Grady came running full tilt into our bedroom. He's done that before! However, this particular time he tripped and went headfirst into the foot board. Rude awakening to all! So off to emerg I go while Phil cleans up the blood. He had a deep cut on the bridge of his nose. On Monday afternoon we went back to get the stitches out, as per doctors orders. Then, on Tuesday we were shopping at Walmart and Grady and Rhett bumped heads in the cart and the wound split open again! So, back to emerg we go where they eventually glued it and put steri strips on again. Can't help but wonder if this is a sign of things to come for this accident prone boy?! The pictures are in reverse order ... with the glue, stitches out, then on the way to get the stitches out.

new decor

I ordered some new bedding online ... and was so excited when it came! The excitement might wear off when it comes time to pay for it!!! Just kidding - I didn't break the bank! The best part is it goes with everything I already have - such as paint! Seriously though, it goes perfectly with the pillows I had and the decor, and makes the room feel complete. However, I did get some new pictures for above the bed, so when I get my room cleaned up and the pictures hung, I'll post some more photos.

the dude

Grady hardly knows a cow from an elephant (as I found out today driving by a pasture), but he sure thinks he's a cowboy. As soon as he puts his hat on he runs around the house hollering Yee-Haw! Anyway, we all think he is the cutest cowboy we know.

more birthday greetings

Happy Birthday to a special MOM and GRANDMA! Had trouble finding a picture ... without Dad in it!! Guess that is a good sign! Sorry I chopped you out dad! Have a great day mom.
