a lovely wedding

It was a lovely day for a lovely wedding. Congratulations Justine (Phil's cousin)and Bryce! I was glad we could all go as a family. As it was we were too played out to stay for the open house so I couldn't imagine what it would have been like on my own. I wish I had taken more photos - the table centerpieces were amazing - really tall vases of flowers. Martha Stewart would be proud!

pirate party

Although Keithan is officially 4 today, we had his party on Saturday. It was lots of fun. He was so excited this year, as you can tell!

oh baby

The aunties and grandmas are probably wondering what happened to my daily Grady reports! He is starting to get some meat on his bones now - and you can feel the difference. If I carried him around all the time I might get some good exercise! He is smiling more and more which is so cute. The kids love to make him smile but you do have to work hard for a grin which makes it difficult to capture on camera!

april - still winter

Thought I should add a little news to the blog, but I'm not sure what to say. Phil had a birthday ... couldn't remember how old so we didn't have any candles! Grady had his 4th and hopefully last RSV booster shot today. He weighed 10lbs 14ounces without a stitch of clothing. As an aside, I learned today that each RSV dose is $1000! We knew he was a precious baby ... but he is worth a pretty penny to the governement too!! We're anxiously waiting for more signs of spring. Saw a gopher last week ... not that that is a good sign! The snow is almost gone from our yard but it is still quite wet. We put the bunk bed together for the boys - a double bed on the bottom and a single on top. At the moment both Keithan and Rhett sleep on the bottom. However, one night they both slept on the floor! Grady is still in our room but I'm thinking of moving him into the crib soon. Last night he slept for 6 hours!

easter break

Well, we all survived the road trip to grandpa and grandma's house. The kids have already forgotten their carseat woes as Rhett is already asking if we can go to mumpa and mumpa's house again. His real vocabulary is pretty big now ... but he still has some favorite Rhett words! Was a nice surprise to see Auntie Joanne (thanks for coming Auntie). The kids had a great time with all the other kids around (thanks for coming too Michelle, Annie, Jack and Drew). It was also great to catch up with my old friend JoLynn ... and now we have girls that might get to be friends too! Grady was a popular fellow over the weekend. Almost had to start giving out numbers! I dn't think he got set down for more than 5 minutes in 4 days. I apologize for taking a week to update the blog. I guess we need 2 or 3 computers as it seems like the kids are always on it when I "need" it! If I only had dial up internet like mom and dad, I think I would not have internet! Good thing grandpa and grandma have patience to wait for these photos to download! Hope you enjoy the pictures ... I din't take near enough, but the ones I took turned out quite well I thought.

just in case you were wondering ...

Grady is 2 months old now and it seems like he grew overnight! One day he seemed so tiny and now he seems big. Yesterday he had his needles and he weighed in at 8lbs 12oz. Just about what Samara weighed when she was born! Life is good - he can sleep for about 6 hours straight and we (Grady and myself) usually sleep in until 9:00! Avegail has taken over the chore of getting Samara off to school ... so I'm not complaining too much about Samara's clothing choices. Most days are good ... but there are a few questionable outfits!
Keithan has started playschool which he seems to really like. He goes Tuesdays and Thursdays in the afternoon.
Rhett is talking a blue streak now ... in his own way. He makes us laugh often with his choice of word combinations and pronunciations.
As for myself, I am feeling 100% ... with the exception of a few too many extra pounds. I keep telling myself I'll exercise tomorrow as I eat some Easter jube jubes. Those rabbits are rather addicting. Speaking of Easter I'm looking forward to going "home" for a few days ... next weekend already!

the whole family

Grady is almost 2 months old ... and this is the first family photo! Most of us are under the weather with coughing, runny noses and fevers. Grady has been spared so far ... thank goodness.
